I have no hesitation in recommending Stretch Therapy to anyone who wishes to maximise their physical abilities and to aid the prevention of or recovery from injury.

Stretch Therapy sessions with Wai Kuan have given me more energy to face my hectic schedule and a calmer mind, allowing me to enjoy better sleep after a gruelling day working for a better Malaysia.

In our usual daily lives, our minds are occupied with so many things. Our body movements are automatic.
In urban environments and with our sedentary lifestyles, our bodies develop undesirable imbalances. We stop using some muscles, and we over-use other muscles. For example:
- Lots of sitting leads to tight hip flexors. Furthermore, because we do not have to carry any weights or loads while sitting, we tend to slouch.
- Heavy computer and smart phone use results in tight wrists, necks and shoulders; and rolled forward shoulders.
As we go through life, and if we do not become aware of how our body structure is evolving (for the worse!), that leads to neck and shoulder tension, frozen shoulder, tennis elbow, back pains, knee problems, bunions …
At Stretch Therapy, we stretch, but we do it with awareness. We reconnect the mind with the body by working on range-of-motion (ROM). You become aware of your body’s strengths and imbalances, and can learn to look after yourself with specific techniques tailored to your unique needs.
With renewed confidence and body awareness, you can enhance your performance in your preferred sports and activities, or just be more comfortable in daily life.
